2007 QUAILS' GATE CHASSELAS-PINOT BLANC

Winemakers Notes:

This wine provides quality, and value. It presents an authentic snapshot of premium vinifera varietals influenced by terroir, viticultural innovation, and winemaking experience. This wine is a blend of our Chasselas grapes, which were the first grapes planted at Quails' Gate in 1961, and our Pinot Blanc grapes. The grapes were whole bunch pressed and cold fermented to enhance the purity of the fruit.

Tasting Notes:

True to style, this wine is made for summer! Essence of clean, fresh and bright Okanagan fruit can be found on the palate. An edge of discernable sweetness combines with racy acidity to produce this simple but seductive wine. Try this classic summer wine paired with a fresh spinach salad made with sun dried cranberries, pea sprouts, toasted almonds and an orange poppy seed vinaigrette.
