WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:

Wine Enthusiast Magazine (December 2007)
93 Points - 2005 Quails' Gate Family Reserve Pinot Noir
"Years ago it was a Quails’ Gate Pinot that first convinced me the grape had real potential in the Okanagan, and this exemplary bottle proves the point. Velvety and intense, superbly aromatic, it’s bursting with berries and cherries, highlighted with orange peel and citrus. The balance is impeccable, and the oak unobtrusive." Paul Gregutt

Kevin Brauch (Thirsty Traveller) (2007)
Interview with iYellow Wine Club - 2 Bottles & 2 Questions Wine 2 - Quails' Gate Family Reserve Pinot Noir

"Spent much time with winemaker Grant Stanley (Canadian but Australian trained [correction - New Zealand]). A consistently terrific Pinot Noir made in a Burgundian style. It's both elegant and complex and was one of the wines I poured at GWFE's Tutored Tastings event last year. A wine I serve to people who believe there's no good wine made in Canada."

TASTE Magazine (Summer 2007)
"From vineyard to winery, the tools are in place for the winemaking team to make the wines that we feel help distinguish Quails' Gate and the Okanagan Valley from other regions and that's what's most important."

The Province (Thursday May 10, 2007)
"Quails' Gate knows how to rock a good Rosé. Overlooked for too long, Rosé is on a comeback tear, and we just can't seem to get enough of electric-pink wine. This B.C bottle is a nose full of rhubarb compote and fresh strawberries, wonderfully balanced, as well as nice and dry. Chill this bottle as much as your fridge will allow, and serve it for Mother's Day brunch. Yum."

Kenji: A "Bring it on."
James: A 2007's first patio sipper."

B.C. Wine of the Week (Saturday April 12, 2007)

Anthony Gismondi
"Winemaker Grant Stanley's stamp is all over this cooler edition Limited Release with its inviting mineral, flinty nose and bits of honey and baked apple. The entry is dry with grapefruit, mineral, honey flavours that finish with a dash of citrus oil. It is contemporary, New World Chardonnay where the oak is under control. As the winery rightly suggests, it should be perfect with pork tenderloin or West Coast seafood."

The Province (January 2007) Best places to un-wine. "Its fairytale pretty indoor/outdoor dining room among the vineyards is aptly named Old Vines Patio. Dinner here as the sun sets over the lake is a treat for the eyes and the palate."

The New York Times (October 2006) - "Beyond our tables, the panorama of the lakefront, watercraft wake lines and row upon row of grapevines, with mountains in the distance, was mesmerizing."

Doctor's Review (September 2006) - "Unchallenged as one of the valley's classiest twosomes is Quails' Gate and its Old Vines Restaurant."

Wine Spectator (July 2004)- "One of the four best places to dine in the Okanagan."

Wine Press Northwest (December 2004) - "The food is fresh, and the view of the vineyards and Okanagan Lake are exquisite."
