We love Pinot Noir because of its potential to captivate both the palate and the soul. A great Pinot is rich with elegant flavours that unfold with every sip revealing a delicate interplay of red berries and earthy undertones.
Born from our Estate vineyards, land blessed by a cool night breeze and the moderating effect of the lake, the Quails’ Gate collection of Pinot Noir are a testament to the artistry of our winemakers who capture the nuances of time and terroir.
In celebration of this remarkable grape, we have opened the Stewart Family Library for a limited release of our coveted Pinot Noirs.
This wine is dedicated to our Brother, Benjamin, who pioneered the introduction of many premium Pinot Noir clones into Canada. The Clone 828 Pinot also represents our quest to be an industry innovator and allowing the terroir to shine in this exclusive, 6-barrel bottling.
The 828 Pinot Noir clone was imported and planted exclusively at Quails’ Gate in 2006 with the intention of enhancing the depth and complexity of our Pinot Noir program. 12 years of cellaring has developed the most sought-after complex and comprehensive characters that Pinot Noir can produce.
As pioneers of Pinot Noir in the Okanagan, it seems only fitting that we celebrate Pinot Noir Day by opening up the Stewart Family Library for a limited release of award-winning past vintages.
